David Block

David Block (The Human Experience) is a Los Angeles based producer, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and creative explorer who has spent his life at the intersection of music, art, and consciousness. David’s work dissolves boundaries between genres, cultures, and technologies, and his performances are brimming with human emotion, world exploration, and sacred sounds.

David has toured the globe and performed at Burning Man, Boom, Coachella, Electric Forest, Wakarusa, Lightning in a Bottle, Sonic Bloom, Symbiosis, and Envision. His music has been featured on NBC primetime TV and is increasingly finding a home in cinema and immersive arts.

David aims to cross cultural barriers through music and art. He is a founding member of the acclaimed band Gone Gone Beyond, and has collaborated with artists all over the world including Rising Appalachia, Malte Marten, Ram Dass, Ignacio Perez and Mel Semé (Buena Vista Social Club), William Close (The Earth Harp), Random Rab, Elephant Revival, Marieme, HAPPIE, Moontricks, Dirtwire, Ayla Nereo, and many others.

For over a decade, David has explored the connection of mindfulness and music. He believes that by focusing our attention and sharpening our awareness, we can align ourselves with a more balanced way of living. He has presented on creative process, mindfulness, and using art as a tool for transformation worldwide at institutions like the MIT Media Lab and festivals like Mindvalley’s A-Fest.
